Stop-frame animation, a technique now famously showcased in the Wallace and Gromit series of short films and movies, uses models or cutouts to tell stories. The animation is shot one frame at a time. Stop-frame animation is a fantastic activity to develop teamwork, communication and creative skills in learners.

Year 8 students from St. Peter’s spent two days at the CLC creating stop-frame animations. They planned, storyboarded and resourced their animations, before shooting them and adding voice-over, and sound effects and special effects.
