Secondary Projects - Autumn Term 2007

Every term, the CLC offers one or more projects to Secondary Schools. These projects are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. The project for the Autumn Term is:

International Collaboration with Web Technologies

slc-exterior.jpgThe latest Web technologies of blogging, wikis, and podcasting provide rich environments for the creation of collaborative projects between UK students and students in other countries.

In this project, students will spend four days at the CLC creating media—video, audio, imagery, animation or text—that reflects upon their lives, culture, feelings and opinions. The students will share their work via the Web with a group of students based at the South Learning Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand, creating a dialogue across the world to explore cultural identity, aspirations, and opinions.

The Internet is evolving into a highly collaborative community for discussing and sharing information, ideas and media of all types. This project will give participating schools the chance to explore the potential of new web technologies in an educational context.
