During the Autumn Term, two groups of Year 10 GCSE Art students from Colton Hills Community College and The King’s School visited the CLC for three-day digital photography projects. Some of the imagery created by the students from both schools was stunning.

On 31st Oct. 2007, as part of a 2-day project on space and space travel, Year 9 students from The Northicote School participated in a video link-up with Dr. Matthew Kenworthy, an astronomer working at the University of Arizona in Tucson, USA. During the interview, students asked Dr. Kenworthy about his research, his life in the USA, and about “hot topics” such as the Moon Landing “hoax”, life on other planets, and the future of the Sun and our Solar System.

- The ways London will change in preparation for the Games.
- The city of London and the diversity of its people.
- The meaning of the Olympic rings
- The healthy diet of atheletes

This podcast was created by Y8 students from Aldersley High School. The students worked in groups to research a topic connected to Space, and to record sections of the podcast. We then linked the sections together, and added an introduction. The topics covered in the podcast are:
- The use of animals in space exploration.
- The Moon Landing “Hoax” conspiracy
- Could there be life on other planets?
- UFOs - alien or otherwise
- The Mercury Seven (the USA’s first astronauts)

This is a Year 9 English Shakespeare SATs revision podcast, focusing on Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. The podcast gives an outline and details of the plot, characters and themes of the play and a detailed analysis of Act 1, Scene 2, lines 189 - 321.
The podcast was created by a group of fourteen year 9 pupils at Parkfield High School working at the City Learning Centre. The objective was to teach and help support the learning and revision of this new play for the 2007 SATs examination.
