Deansfield poetry podcasts and performance films
Last week, the CLC worked with Year 8 students from Deansfield High School on a project exploring Dramatic Monologue in poetry. As part of the project, students prepared filmic background sequences to play behind poetry readings from “Porphyria’s Sister” by Robert Browning and “The Sisters” by Alfred Lord Tennyson. Here are the students performing their readings, with their film sequences playing behind them:
The students also wrote and recorded their own Dramatic Monologues based on the experiences of characters in a cyberbullying scenario. Their poetry readings became part of podcasts:
