From Wednesday to Friday this week, three groups of Year 8 students from St. Peter’s CE Collegiate School are visiting the CLC to learn how to use GarageBand as both a music and podcasting tool.
The students will spend the morning using the loops in GarageBand and MIDI keyboards to create an original jingle of about 1 minute in length, then use this jingle in a podcast based around a topic in the Music curriculum.
The podcasts from the first session are listed above. You can listen back to podcasts online by clicking on “Play Now” or download the podcast to your computer by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on a Mac) on the “Download” link and “Save Target As”.
Note that these podcasts won’t yet appear in iTunes. I will compile several together later this term, to prevent our listing in iTunes from being flooded with 27 podcasts in three days!
