Coppice Performing Arts School - Introduction to Flash Animation - 1st May 2007

filed under Session Reports May 1st, 2007 Richard Anderson

Today, I’ve been working with Y10 students from Coppice Performing Arts School. The objective of the session was to introduce the students to Flash Animation to support forthcoming work in their DiDA qualification.

In the morning, students created animated banners for their eporfolios by creating simple logos in Fireworks, exporting them to Flash and combining them with Creative Commons licensed images from Flickr.com.

In the afternoon, students animated a road scene, learning how to combine together graphical assets by creating and reusing symbols in Flash.

What the teacher said:

Very good facilities. Very organised day. The encouragement and enthusiasm of the session leader extended to students for a vast amount of knowledge given and received.

A truly proactive day out of our normally mundane environment.
