Engage is Wolverhampton’s new gateway for Local Authority staff, school staff and Governors to information, services and resources provided by the Children and Young People’s Service. All Wolverhampton teachers, headteachers, non-teaching school staff, governors and Children and Young People’s Services officers will be expected to apply for an Engage account.
Engage is based on Microsoft Sharepoint and allows users to easily create and publish their own content - documents, images, forums and so on - within a secure environment, to share that content, and to form online collaborations with other colleagues within the Local Authority.
As part of Engage, every user has their own “Home” page, which they can use to bring together content relevant to them - documents, alerts, calendar, their email inbox and links.
If you are interested in the work of the CLC, and want to stay up-to-date with what is happening here, you can now easily add our newsfeed into your Engage Homepage.
- Click on “Modify My Page” on your Site in Engage
- Click on “Browse”
- Click on “Web Part Page Gallery”
- Select “Wolverhampton City Learning Centre” from the Web Part List, select which section of your page you want to add it to (Top Zone, Middle Left Zone etc.) and click on “Add”

Once you’ve done this, you should find that the newsfeed from the CLC website has been inserted into your page:

This information will be automatically updated when new content is published to the CLC site. Clicking on the links will take you straight to the story / article on the CLC website.
