As you can see, the City Learning Centre has launched a brand new design for its website. Although it is only about 9 months since the last design was launched, the changes then were almost entirely cosmetic. This time, the structure and features of the site have been redesigned from scratch. Here are the main features of the new website:
- The blog and podcast features of the CLC Blog have been integrated into the main site, making it easier to find and subscribe to the latest news, information and broadcasts from the CLC.
- A new gallery section to share images from sessions at the CLC.
- The ability to subscribe (and unsubscribe) to receive new content via email or newsfeed.
- You can easily email articles or pages to a colleague.
- Genuinely integrated site search
- A whole new look and feel to the site (”Web 2.0″ style)
- It’s much easier to change and maintain - e.g. the site map is automatically updated when new content is added.
- Lots of other little touches . . . automatic marking of external links and pages you have already visited . . . buttons to add articles to your favourite online newsreader services . . . integrated streaming video.
We hope you like the new site. We intend to use it more actively than in the past to publish materials from the staff and students of the CLC on an ongoing basis. Leave a comment on this post to let us know what you think of the redesign.
