Now, when I say I’ve experienced de-jua vu, I don’t mean the places. Unless, you count the three times we visited the Kennedy Centre . . But, I mean I have experienced this. Yes, typing a blog on this laptop. I’ve put in my note book, that the network doesn’t like me. And I’m beginning to think it is true. Firstly, the fact that when I’d spent so long a time typing an incoherent blog onto the laptop, and it had not been sent, was a big blow. You don’t know how tired I was in writing it, (and how long it took!!!) yes, I’ll keep on emphasising that fact, and apparently my guilt for not writing soon enough had no effect. This deterred me, which is why I failed to do one . . or at least I had thought so. The next morning, I had awoken early to update the audience, but this one was not even incoherent. It didn’t even start! Sama was on it before I came on, and the sites she went on worked perfectly. Why, then, when I go on there, does it fail to connect? The same small window kept popping up, and the same feeling of me being disliked by the thing increased. Which is why, the next day, I failed to type a blog into the laptop. Besides, I didn’t have much time, and not much energy .. . .
The first, above, blog I had done, was entitled, ‘Late, and not only due to jet-lag!’ I am still living by my, ‘home-time,’ and therefore growing tired very early. This was enough to endure in Florida, now that we’re one hour back even more, I am slightly dreading my reaction to the time. I am also late in the fact that I have not typed a blog. Hopefully, this one will work. I tried one when we reached here, after I had spoken to my mum, after I had grown quite outwardly emotional, and to have sent it and to recieve the fact that it had not been sent, was again a major blow. I’ve got to save this, and shorten it. So I’ll update you from what we did since I have not written, so literally, flashbacks, as everyone else will be writing in the present. However, to spur you onto the chance of winning the ‘comment competition,’ I’ll give you something to comment on - why has my cold started? (Yes, I have a cold, and have had one ever since the second day in Orlando, Cocoa Becah, very very dismal, I can tell you!), and secondly, why I have still got it, only that it worsened on our way to Texas? Why the searing pain and the thought of crying at the fact that I honestly thought my head would explode? And, honestly, it really was that bad. I’m not going to tell you how I felt, in terms of ’symptons’ as that would most certainly give it away. And, guys, use specific terms, you know what I’m like with detail! Yes, I check up on what you send! This blog is dedicated to mum, for spurring me on to write this. I will be so down hearted if this blog does not get sent! I’ve got to keep this short, so guys, start thinking, researching, and then typing!

Hi everybody,
There was a lot of rain in Florida and it was a bit windy. We got to the airport okay and the flight was only delayed by 20 minutes. We have checked into an excellent hotel, i will put some pictures up later. The weather is superb: sunny, not too hot and not too humid
.
This hotel has better internet access, so hopefully we will be able to put up more posts.

Hello everyone,
Sorry haven’t updated you earlier but been very busy. Over the last couple of days we have been at Kenedy Space Centre. Yesterday we had some astronaut trianing which I particularly enjoyed. We got the chance to use some simulators the astronauts use in their training. The G- force one was the best, but after having gone on it twice I was feeling rather ill. Today we saw a IMAX 3D movie which was very fun and had a tour the launch pad and Kenedy Centre. Tomoro we are flying to Houston, I can’t wait. Hurricane Wilma is getting closer to us which is a bit scary but exciting at the same time. Its ment to come tomorrow morning some time. Got to go now, will update you soon.

First, can I just say a big thank you to everyone who has been participating in the blog with their comments on the students’ and Mr. Mehmi’s postings so far. There’s a great feeling of community about the comments that have been submitted, and I hope that you continue to check the blog and submit comments over the coming days. I hope that you are enjoying sharing in the experiences of the students.
A boring technical issue about comments. When commenting can you make sure that you are commenting on the post that you think you are. To comment on a post, click on the title of the post or where it says "Add comment" or shows the number of comments so far (i.e. "2 comments") directly beneath the post. A number of people have submitted comments on posts in other areas of the blog by mistake (e.g. posts in the podcast section) and I’ve had to copy and paste their comments into the correct place.

Yesterday we went to the Kenndy Space Center for the first time, and the size of everything was amazing. We saw the Saturn 5 (actual size) and also saw alot of other things such as all the Apollos. We basically saw all the things which have gone on and around the moon. The day was very long and we did a lot more exciting things which I’ll let others talk about…

Hello everyone,
It is Friday 11:23pm our time.
We add a very full itinerary today and i’m a bit tired so excuse the spelling mistakes. Here’s an update.
The flights went ok, Continental airlines were very good. The flight attendents were amiable if a bit too happy. The food on the airlines was overcooked, as you would expect, but we had enough to get us trhough the 9 hours of flights. For some reason, Sam’s take on luggage got searched twice, but everything was okay. There was lots of security everywhere and we had to remove our shoes during the check-in for the second flight!

With regard to Hurricane Wilma, the City Learning Centre has today spoken extensively to ISSET (who organise the student visits to the USA). They have assured us that they are monitoring the situation very carefully and are in regular contact with the relevant government organisations (e.g. the Foreign and Commonwealth Office).

Today we travelled up to gatwick airport, the journey here wasn’t too long. Once arriving at the travel inn at gatwick we got a chance to meet the other competition winners during a meal. I am looking forward to getting to know them better. Tomorrow we leave early for the long flight to florida. the flight takes off at half ten so we have to up very early. Sorry but haven’t had a chance to take any pictures yet. Talk to you soon when we are in florida with hopefully some exciting news.

Hi, i’m very excited now that there are about 12 hours left until we depart on our flight to Florida. Hopefully, we should avoid the hurricane heading that way!
The journey here went without a hitch. We all had a nice evening meal: I had a roast duck dinner followed by a profiterole desert with chocolate sauce and cream.
